Working from home is no longer a perk — for plenty of companies it’s the standard, at least two or three days a week. And then a practical question comes up: what is that person actually working on? A six-year-old personal laptop that chokes the moment the camera turns on in a meeting is not the answer. Not for the employee, and not for the company.

What a work-from-home laptop really needs to have

You don’t need a beast of a machine. You need a machine that stays out of your way. As a repair shop, we see what actually causes people problems in practice, so here’s what to look for:

• Enough memory for multitasking — a browser full of tabs, a video call and Excel all at once. That’s where most old laptops fall over.
• An SSD drive — so the system boots while you pour your coffee, not so you wait for it over coffee.
• A decent camera and microphone — half the workday is meetings. If your colleagues can’t hear you, nothing else matters.
• A battery that lasts — working from home often means working from a café, from the in-laws’, from the road.
• Reliable WiFi and ports — an external monitor and headphones are a given.

This is the scenario we hear about most often. You bring someone on for a trial period or a project. Buying them a laptop means a cost that sticks around after the engagement ends — the machine sits in a cupboard losing value.

Renting solves that problem naturally: the laptop lasts exactly as long as the engagement. The employee leaves, the laptop comes back, the cost stops. How renting works with us

You rent by the day, week or month, and the daily rate drops the longer the period — a monthly rental works out cheapest per day. You’ll see the exact price on each laptop’s page, and all rates are public on our rental price list. No hidden line items.

We sign a rental agreement and you leave a refundable deposit — you get it back when the equipment is returned in working order. Individuals need an ID card or passport, companies their tax ID and registration number. If the job runs longer than you planned, extending is a matter of a quick arrangement — get in touch before the rental ends and we carry on.

Pick-up however suits you: at one of our three stores in Belgrade (locations are here) or by courier anywhere in Serbia. An employee in Niš or Novi Sad gets the laptop delivered to their address, ready to work.

Why there’s a repair shop behind this, not just a warehouse
